Lo scorso week-end a lato del Magic World Championship 2022, si è svolto uno dei side event maggiori il Magic 30 Championship. Venerdì e sabato si sono disputati quattro qualifier Modern da 224 giocatori l’uno, per un totale di quasi 900 giocatori, le realtive Top 8 di ogni qualifier hanno portato ai 32 giocatori che si sono dati battaglia domenica.

Dopo due brutali round ad eliminazione diretta coi loro mazzi Modern, gli otto giocatori rimasti si sono giocati la vittoria con un Rochester Draft di vere buste Limited Edition Beta. Di seguito le liste particolarmente importanti perchè questo è il primo evento Modern di questa dimensione dopo il ban di Yorion, Sky Nomad.

    Credo che il ban di W6 possa essere di giovamento al formato. Il Modern al momento è abbastanza bello e vario, ma è davvero brutto quando quasi tutti i mazzi possono andare penta senza problemi (o anche tenere tranquillamente una mano a 2 terre in penta), oltre a fare gatekeeping a tutti gli x/1 del formato. Per un motivo simile hanno bannato astrolabio.
