L’evento si è svolto presso “Hotel 4 Stelle Sea Lion” con il patrocinio del Comune di Montesilvano e dell’Assessorato alla Cultura nella persona dell’Assessore Mauro Orsini.
Si è cercato fornire la massima accoglienza possibile, sala con aria condizionata e bene illuminata, posti comodi e larghi, ogni tavolo aveva a disposizione acqua minerale fresca ecc. E’ stata coinvolta anche la Scuola del Fumetto di Pescara che ha realizzato per l’intera giornata un workshop con tema Magic, producendo tra l’altro disegni originali andati al Vincitore, Miglior Under 15, Arbitro ecc. L’evento è stato segnalato da diversi quotidiani (on-line e non), nonché dalla presenza di una rete locale che ha realizzato un servizio per il telegiornale.
Il torneo ha visto 41 partecipanti, quasi esclusivamente abruzzesi ed associati al negozio Games Academy, riflessione importante per capire la realtà Magic che vive la regione. Eccezion fatta per alcuni giocatori veterani, che non sempre ricordavano le buone maniere, il tutto si è svolto senza troppe difficoltà.
Vince Fabio Casiraghi con Caw Blade che batte in finale Bant Blade e si qualifica così per i Nazionali, nei Top 4 anche Grixis Twin e Vampiri. Bravo!
