Magic: The Gathering | Star Trek celebrates the 60th anniversary of the renowned sci-fi saga with an expansion dedicated to iconic characters, starships, planets, and moments from all eras of the franchise. Releasing on November 13, 2026, the main TRK set will be legal in all formats, including Standard, Pioneer, and Modern.

New previews showcase some of the most beloved characters from the Star Trek universe, including Captain James T. Kirk, Captain Kathryn Janeway, Seven of Nine, Dr. Beverly Crusher, Hoshi Sato, Exolinguist, Beckett Mariner, Impetuous Ensign, and Brad Boimler, Eager Ensign. The set also features memorable episodes and moments such as Amok Time, In the Pale Moonlight, and The City on the Edge of Forever.

Magic: The Gathering | Star Trek introduces the new mechanics Assimilate, Face a Dilemma, and Federation. Assimilate allows creatures to transform into augmented Borg artifacts with a +1/+1 counter, while Face a Dilemma rewards choices made by selecting one or more modes of a spell or ability. Federation, on the other hand, values crews composed of creatures with different types.

Starships and the Crew ability, introduced in Ai Confini dell’Eternità, also return. Cards like U.S.S. Enterprise-D, Galaxy-Class start as artifacts and can gain new abilities or transform into creatures by accumulating charge counters.

Among the revealed cards, we also find thematic spells like Set Phasers to . . ., Consider the Prime Directive, and Highly Illogical, along with alien creatures such as Salt Vampire and Crystalline Entity.

The expansion will be accompanied by numerous special treatments: LCARS-framed cards, Classic Enterprise versions inspired by vintage posters of the original series, borderless scene cards, and Headliner variants signed by the actors. The main set will also feature all ten shocklands, including Hallowed Fountain, Watery Grave, Blood Crypt, Steam Vents, Overgrown Tomb, and Breeding Pool.
