Drannith Magistrate: prevents opponents from casting spells from zones other than their hand. This means completely locking down commanders in the Command Zone, seriously hindering decks that base their game plan on their commander. If it stays on the field too long, it can effectively eliminate one or more players from the game.

Enlightened Tutor: an instant-speed tutor that allows you to search for any artifact or enchantment and put it on top of your library. It's one of the first tutors included among the game changers because it significantly reduces variance, one of the fundamental elements of the Commander format's identity.

Farewell: one of the most flexible mass removal spells ever printed. It can exile multiple permanent types simultaneously, often being asymmetrical and devastating against numerous archetypes.

Humility: turns all creatures into simple 1/1s without abilities. Besides neutralizing almost every commander, it completely changes how the game develops, often reducing it to a simple clash of stats while other permanents continue to generate advantage.

Smothering Tithe: one of the best ramp engines in the format. Each opponent's draw can turn into a Treasure, constantly forcing the table to ask the famous question: "Do you pay 2?". A repetitive pattern that generates enormous amounts of mana.

Teferi's Protection: probably one of the best defensive spells ever printed. It completely protects permanents and the player for an entire turn, proving devastating especially in combination with mass removal or symmetrical effects.

Consecrated Sphinx: each opponent's draw becomes a double draw for its controller. If not removed immediately, it generates practically unrecoverable card advantage.

Cyclonic Rift: the classic one-sided board wipe of Commander. With Overload, it returns all opponents' permanents to their hand, leaving your own battlefield intact. It often means the end of the game.

Fierce Guardianship: a free Counterspell when your commander is on the field. The ability to interact without leaving mana available is considered one of the most frustrating aspects of the card.

Force of Will: another free Counterspell, this time obtained by exiling a blue card from your hand. It is one of the best interaction tools ever printed and allows you to respond to almost any threat without investing mana.

Gifts Ungiven: allows you to search for four cards, letting the opponent choose two to put into their hand. In decks that utilize the graveyard, this apparent limitation often becomes an advantage.

Intuition: a more compact version of Gifts Ungiven. It searches for three cards and lets the opponent choose which one to grant, proving extremely powerful in decks that utilize the graveyard.

Mystical Tutor: an instant-speed tutor for any instant or sorcery. In a color rich in card draw, it represents one of the most efficient tools for finding the right answer at the right time.

Narset, Parter of Veils: almost completely blocks opponents' additional draws and becomes devastating with wheel effects, transforming a simple refill spell into a near-lock condition.

Rhystic Study: one of Commander's iconic cards. It produces a continuous flow of card advantage and constantly forces opponents to wonder whether to pay the additional tax.

Thassa's Oracle: an extremely cheap win condition that represents the natural conclusion of many self-mill or library-exhaustion based combos.

Ad Nauseam: transforms life points into cards. In decks built around this spell, it can draw almost the entire library in a single turn.

Bolas's Citadel: allows you to cast spells from the top of your deck by paying life points instead of mana. In combination with effects like Aetherflux Reservoir, it can generate explosive turns and even become a win condition.

Braids, Cabal Minion: a symmetrical Stax effect that easily becomes asymmetrical in specially built decks. The continuous sacrifice of permanents makes it extremely difficult to recover in the game.

Demonic Tutor: the tutor par excellence. Any card from your library goes directly into your hand, almost completely eliminating the random component of the format.

Imperial Seal: a one-mana version that puts the chosen card on top of your library. Like other tutors, it significantly reduces variance.

Necropotence: one of the most powerful card advantage engines ever printed. Thanks to Commander's initial 40 life points, it allows you to easily convert life into resources.

Opposition Agent: completely blocks opponents' tutors and searches, even stealing the cards they should find. The mere presence of this card changes the way the entire table plays.

Orcish Bowmasters: punishes every additional draw by dealing damage and growing its army. It is particularly effective against card draw-based decks.

Tergrid, God of Fright: one of the most feared commanders in the format. Every sacrifice or discard imposed on opponents turns into a permanent under its control, leading to extremely oppressive games.

Vampiric Tutor: the instant-speed version of Imperial Seal. Any card in your deck becomes your next draw.

Gamble: a one-mana tutor that carries the risk of discarding the just-searched card. In decks with graveyard synergies, this disadvantage is often irrelevant.

Jeska's Will: one of the most explosive red spells in the format. It produces enormous amounts of mana and also generates card advantage through impulse draw, often allowing you to close out the game in the same turn.

Underworld Breach: a card already banned in other formats due to how easily it allows you to reuse the graveyard. In Commander, it generates very long turns and extremely consistent combos.

Biorhythm: can become an immediate win condition in decks that flood the field with creatures. After being removed from the banlist, it automatically entered the game changers category.

Crop Rotation: an instant-speed land tutor that allows you to put permanents like Gaea's Cradle directly into play, often without any mana loss.

Natural Order: allows you to sacrifice a green creature to put one of the most powerful creatures from your deck directly onto the field, completely bypassing its mana cost.

Seedborn Muse: untaps all permanents during each opponent's turn. In decks with many activated abilities, this is equivalent to enormously multiplying your resources.

Survival of the Fittest: turns every creature in your hand into a repeatable tutor, making the deck extremely consistent, especially with graveyard synergies.

Worldly Tutor: an instant-speed creature tutor. While less flexible than black tutors, it represents one of the most efficient search cards available for green.
